1996 – 2006 Senior Education & Recreation Officer Aberdeenshire Council

· Managed and led central education services for over 150 schools serving 15,000 pupils up to the age of twelve years.

· Direct management responsibility for twenty-five schools with age range of 3 – 18 years. Tasked with professional staff recruitment including Head Teacher posts and monitoring of government’s statutory requirements for schools.

· Innovating/structuring/driving to completion educational projects. Remit included staffing, staff CPD and development/improvement of educational services.

1970 – 1995 Assistant Director of Education Aberdeenshire Council

· Educational Professional starting as class teacher and moving through succession of promotions to Assistant Director of Education.
